Mine site Accountants based in Central Queensland.

$130,000 - $159,999 Full time

Our client operates two coal mines in the Bowen basin and require 3 site accountants.

The positions are residential in a family friendly country township surrounded by adventure.

Primary Role.

The Site Accountants are responsible for ensuring that all commercial transactions are compliant and ethical, being run effectively & efficiently.  Moreover, this position will be required to work closely with the Senior Management team to provide financial guidance on strategic changes within the operation to ensure ongoing cost effective operations.

Role Requirements.

• Provides Financial Governance

• Assists in Tenders/ Contract Evaluations

• Cost benefit & trend analysis of the business

• Responsible for all End of Month Activities per negotiated timetable

Experience.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce

• CPA / CA

• 5-10 years experience preferably in a resources, construction or production environment.

• Proficient in MS Office – (advanced Excel competence), Pronto or similar accounting system

• Contract management

• Advanced accounting

• Writing principles

• Mathematical/Analytical principles
